About Voice of Aston

Mission Statement

“To foster, develop and support youth initiative, and a strong representational youth voice in the service and decision-making life of the community, and to engage youth as resources. To help create a network of socially responsible young people who believe the youth of Aston, as positive agents for change, can contribute to the creation of a society in Aston based on tolerance and understanding through an appreciation of diversity. Promoting the social inclusion of children of ethnic, socio-economic, educational and religious diversity. Voice of Aston will establish a platform for children in which positive social interaction and key learning skills are enhanced.”

A key figure in the organisation with strong links with the witton community of Aston. Has spearheaded many activities in the area. Spearheaded Voice of Aston from its beginning.

The face of voice of aston since its inception.
Born & brought up in Aston. Strong links with diverse community sectors due to long term efforts within the Aston area.
   
Shakeel Shabir
Committee Member.

Key role in mediation and hands on attitude to community work. Has shown incredible insight into youth attitudes in Aston and is well respected in the community
   
Phil Hamilton
Advisory role to Voice of Aston.

For many years has had a mojor influence within the youth of Aston where has lead and seen through many projects helping the community acheive its potential. He has been working for over 25 years in youth work.
