Our goal is to teach youth in Aston
the value of diversity, the power of
the individual and to ignite their imagination.
To inspire the youth
to
believe in their power to make a difference as individuals and to
motivate
them to reach their greatest potential as citizens and productive members

- To bring together youth of cultural, ethnic, religious, educational and
socio–economic diversity. Creating opportunities for youth from all
backgrounds to work side by side in a manner that fosters the
understanding and connection that comes from shared effort and experience.
- We aim to create an environment where youth can learn new skills and
become aware of the existence of a wider community in Birmingham.
Young people develop lifelong skills and values for effective citizenry
as they serve through various programs as board members for community
non-profits or organize civic action around concrete social issues important to
them and the larger community.
- We believe this new approach will aid the self – development of
participants and contribute to building and sustaining a tolerant society in Aston.
- All programs are youth-initiated and youth-led , with adult support for
coordination and implementation.
- Create opportunities for the youth, youth get engaged productively in their
community, volunteering and voicing their opinions through meaningful social
change efforts
as alternatives to negative or alienated behaviour.
- Offer a unique niche for teens that want productive leadership roles in their
schools and community, and attract many youth who discover their leadership
potential through various activities.
- All of the projects will be intergenerational : in some, teens mentor peers or
younger students; in others, adults mentor teens; or teens mentor adults.
- Create community partnerships; non-profits and our community benefit from
the fresh and unique perspectives only young people can bring to the table.
